The News Post
of the COVE-WENDT Project
Centre of Vocational Excellence in
Welding and
Non-Destructive Testing.
We are excited to announce that COVE-WENDT will take part in the 33rd International Welding Conference in Budapest, Hungary, on 18 and 19 June 2026.
This is a great opportunity to bring the project into a wider discussion on the future of welding and allied technologies, in a programme that covers
key topics such as additive manufacturing, digitalisation, robotics, hydrogen transport and storage, quality
management, material testing and structural
integrity.
COVE-WENDT will be featured on 18 June at 13:30,
during Session 2: New Trends in Welding I, chaired by Prof. Dr. Marcell Gáspár. The session will include a presentation on
the results of the project related to the sustainability and
digitalisation of welding.
For COVE-WENDT, this is an important moment to share the project's
work with the wider welding community and to reinforce the role of skills
in supporting the green and digital transition of the sector.

The demand for digital education and the transition to green industry are increasing. Training centres need to adapt to this trend.
